About SAPA
The South African Paediatric Association (SAPA), established in the 1970s, focuses on enhancing child health by uniting the paediatric community, sharing resources, and advocating for children’s rights. Initially linked with MASA, SAPA now operates independently, notable for hosting significant paediatric conferences. Its resurgence post-1994 democratization reflects a commitment to inclusivity and excellence, exemplified by organizing the first International Pediatric Association Congress in sub-Saharan Africa in 2010.
